Sexless marriages are becoming increasingly common in South Korea
In South Korea, cases of sexless marriages like Park's are not uncommon. Many of them realize that while sex is no longer the most important part of their lives, it is crucial for them to maintain an intact family. They recognize that even without sex, children need their father's love. So even though they may feel disappointed or frustrated, they still insist that their children feel loved and supported by their father.
However, this attitude has not made asexual marriage mainstream in Korean society. On the contrary, as people pay more attention to family relationships, the situation of asexual marriage is also gradually decreasing. Some scholars and psychologists believe that this may be caused by people's high expectations for sex life. They point out that many people have high expectations in terms of sex life, but reality often fails to meet these expectations. In addition, as people's living standards improve, more families begin to focus on quality of life rather than just pursuing sex life.
However, while there have been some changes in Korean society, this does not mean that it will disappear. In fact, more and more young people have begun to accept the concept of sexless marriage as a lifestyle choice. At the same time, more and more media have begun to pay attention to the issue, calling for society to be open to sexless marriage to promote a more inclusive social environment.
In general, although sexless marriage still exists in Korean society, it is gradually being understood and accepted. Over time, this phenomenon may undergo fundamental changes and may even become the new normal in Korean society.
